City of Bremerton Diversity, Equity and Inclusion Plan Public Input Sessions
You are invited! Help Shape First-Ever Diversity, Equity and Inclusion Plan for the City of Bremerton
Today, Mayor Wheeler announced that the City is inviting members of the public to participate in two facilitated group discussions in October to help develop the first Diversity, Equity and Inclusion (DEI) plan for City operations and policies.
Community members will have an opportunity to discuss complex issues and share input as part of the DEI facilitated sessions.
“Developing a DEI plan is an important part of supporting diversity and equity in our community,” said Mayor Wheeler. “These facilitated community meetings are a significant and essential step to creating a robust plan for the City.”
Members of the public are invited to sign up for both facilitated sessions taking place on Monday, October 16 and Wednesday, October 23. Each session will be held via Zoom and has space for 25 participants. A Zoom link will be emailed to participants prior to each scheduled session.
In July, Mayor Wheeler announced the City’s efforts to begin developing a DEI plan for the City.
“We are excited to begin this phase and are looking forward to gathering important community input to help shape a thoughtful and informative DEI plan for the City of Bremerton,” said Mayor Wheeler.
