Kitsap Industrial Readiness Summit

Puget Sound Naval Shipyard and Intermediate Maintenance Facility is one of four naval shipyards to benefit from once-in-a-century investment.

The Navy is investing heavily in shipyard infrastructure. The Shipyard Infrastructure Optimization Program’s (SIOP) will construct and recapitalize dry docks, recapitalize and reconfigure infrastructure, and modernize industrial plant equipment.  

• Billions in federal investment is planned for Puget Sound Naval Shipyard. Does Kitsap have the buildings, workers, capacity, and industrial base for what's coming our way? 
• This summit provides opportunities to clarify and gain greater understanding of the Shipyard Infrastructure Optimization Program, how it will affect Kitsap, and how we can be supportive.
