About the Presenters:
SANA BAGERSH, FOUNDER/ CEO TAMAKKAN
Sana Bagersh is the founder of Tamakkan and a senior executive with a diverse background and extensive international business experience. She has worked on projects in Africa, Europe, the USA and the Arabian Gulf, and has considerable experience in designing, managing, deploying and executing multi-level integrated communication platforms and marketing campaigns in multiple languages. She is an expert in partnership building in the areas of innovation, entrepreneurship, community programming, multiculturalism, diversity and women's empowerment. She has established public and private partnerships to support innovation, community programming and smart cities. Bagersh provides consultancy and coaching to senior government and private sector executives in areas such as corporate culture-building, diversity programming, international marketing, coalition building, leadership, intrapreneurship, open innovation and digital comms.
MONICA BLACKWOOD, CEO, WEST SOUND WORKFORCE
Monica Blackwood became the second President, CEO and Owner of West Sound Workforce in 2018 after purchasing the business from the retiring founder. Her background includes previous roles in leadership, operations and compliance within the architecture and design industry as well as marketing within the IT and professional sports industries. Monica’s background includes a Master of Business Administration focused on Strategic Leadership; professional certifications in HR and staffing; and community positions such as Past Chair, Kitsap Economic Development Alliance; President-Elect, WSHRMA; Executive Council Member, Olympic Workforce Development Council; State Council—Washington, American Staffing Association; past president positions for both Olympic College Foundation and Holly Ridge Center and a past member of the advisory council for the BD+C Magazine’s Women in Design + Construction (WiDC) Conference. She also writes a monthly column focused on HR-related topics for the Kitsap Peninsula Business Journal.
