Description
Longshore Insurance requirements for Navy and federal maritime contracts, focused on the Longshore and Harbor Workers’ Compensation Act (LHWCA).
Participants will learn about mandatory insurance for employees working on, near, or over navigable waters—including ship repair, shipbuilding, and related support work. The session will clarify the differences between standard workers’ compensation and Longshore coverage, explain the need for a USL&H endorsement on state policies, and highlight potential consequences of noncompliance, including financial penalties and employer liability.
This is presented by WA USL&H Assigned Risk Plan (WARP) and Washington Apex Accelerator.
There is no cost, and lunch is provided!
