KEDA supports increased funding for Bremerton / Seattle Ferry Route

The Kitsap Economic Development Alliance provides this letter of support for the proposal to fund temporary passenger only ferry service between Bremerton and Seattle, helping mitigate the economic harm coming from longstanding reductions in service on the route by the Washington State Ferry system. 

With the economic health of so many on both sides of the water affected, we believe this solution from Kitsap Transit will add to the resiliency of the region's economy. It will also greatly improve economic equity and inclusion in terms of low-income and traditionally underserved populations, who will once again be able to more easily move about the region by water when this service gap is addressed.
