Advancing Proven Solutions in Maritime Technology

October 8, 2024 – Booz Allen Hamilton (NYSE: BAH) today announced an expansion of its footprint in the Pacific Northwest with the opening of its Bremerton Maritime Tech Facility in Bremerton, Washington. This state-of-the-art center of excellence and engineering hub will help to advance maritime technology and operational proficiency. 

Expanding upon Booz Allen’s specialized engineering resources to tackle growing client challenges across the Department of Defense (DOD), the Bremerton Maritime Tech Facility is a cutting-edge hub that supports defense clients with pioneering solutions in maritime uncrewed and autonomous vehicle technology, as well as immersive engineering and rapid integration capabilities. 

Spanning more than 2,200 square feet, the facility is equipped with advanced labs and creative spaces. This includes the Unmanned Rapid Integration Lab (URIL), which provides a secure environment to research, develop, test, and integrate AI, sensor, radio frequency, and other technology payloads for unmanned undersea and surface vehicles in collaboration with clients. It also includes the Seattle Immersive Studio lab, which offers the full spectrum of immersive and extended reality technologies, including virtual reality and augmented reality applications.

The facility is home to a dedicated team focused on various capabilities including immersive solutions; AI and machine learning; autonomous systems; edge systems and devices; engineering; unmanned vehicle mission planning; software development; systems integration; unmanned systems research, development, testing, and evaluation; and unmanned systems training. The facility also supports more than 50 local employees.
