Seismic upgrades and long-term fixes are in the works for PSNS

According to a new Kitsap Sun story, the Navy has flagged 20 buildings at Puget Sound Naval Shipyard as not meeting seismic safety standards — nearly 10% of core facilities could be at risk in an earthquake.
This is exactly the kind of issue the Shipyard Infrastructure Optimization Program - SIOP was created to address. SIOP is the Navy’s once-in-a-century investment to modernize and harden infrastructure at critical shipyards like PSNS & IMF on the Waterfront.
