Free HR Consulting Opportunity for Kitsap Organizations

Partner with WWU Peninsulas Students

Is there an HR challenge your organization keeps meaning to tackle? Maybe it's recruiting in a tight labor market, improving retention, updating your onboarding, or building a better performance review process. Western Washington University on the Peninsulas wants to help, at no cost to you.

WWU Peninsulas is seeking two to three Kitsap organizations to receive pro-bono HR consulting support from students in an HR practicum course, part of the Business Administration bachelor's degree. Taught by Akanksha Bedi, Assistant Professor of Management, the practicum pairs students with local organizations to work on real human resources needs and deliver research-based insights, recommendations, and fresh perspectives. The time commitment is light. You'll share information about your organization and the HR challenge you'd like explored, answer student questions as the project moves along, and join two class sessions via Zoom or in person. The first is a brief 10-to-15-minute introduction to your organization. The second is where students present their research, recommendations, and proposed solutions.

It's a genuine two-way benefit: you gain practical, research-backed ideas for your organization, and local students gain hands-on experience that prepares them to join Kitsap's workforce.
